Three different pairs of Classic Nikes, six different outfits. That’s the challenge, and me and Megan (from Style Girlfriend) are here to deliver.
In this article we’re taking three classic Nike sneaker styles—the Dunk Low, the Blazer ’77, and the Killshot 2— and styling outfits for each one, so you’ll get a bit of EG flavor and SG flavor. That’s six looks total!
We hope you like our picks, and even if an entire look doesn’t resonate with you, maybe you can at least pull some inspiration or find a clothing item or two that you like. Let’s get into the sneaks + outfits!
Shoe Challenge #1: Nike Dunk Lows
Shop Nike Dunk Low
If you’re going with classic Nikes, The Dunk Lows should be high on your list. They’re casual, comfortable, and can go with almost any outfit. If you’ve ever wanted the perfect alternative to Air Force 1 Lows or the ever-popular Nike Killshot, this is it.
We went with a rich green and deep blue colorway here, but I encourage you to check out the other options as well. There are so many!
Effortless Gent’s Outfit Pick
The Nike Dunk Lows are the pop of color in the outfit, so we’re keeping everything else relatively muted. A palette of blue and grey, topped off with a cream-colored beanie, is the perfect way to let the sneaks shine.
Depending how cold it is, throw on the quilted vest over your denim jacket for extra warmth and insulation, or ditch the jacket completely and pair the long sleeve tee with your quilted vest for extra soft coziness.

We took a big swing with this outfit. The sneakers are already colorful and fun, so we decided to play up the trendiness with a pair of gurkha pants, which have adjustable side tabs. A boxy t-shirt and gold chain complete the fashion-forward look.

Shoe Challenge #2: Nike Blazer ’77
Shop Nike Blazer '77
If you haven’t considered adding the Nike Blazer Mid ’77 Vintage to your shoe rotation yet, you’re missing out. The Blazers mix elements of vintage and modern styling, making them perfect for everyday looks.
They’ll fit in perfectly with a casual “I’m running to the grocery store really quick!” look, or as a nice contrast to a more buttoned-up smart casual outfit.
Effortless Gent’s Outfit
The Nike Blazers are a bit more menswear neutral-friendly here, so we’re taking a slightly more daring approach to the outfit. The nice thing about menswear neutrals is that all the colors generally work well together.
The olive chinos, white T-shirt, and black Polo sweatshirt are easy-going and simple, letting the scarf take visual center stage. Then we class it up with the large coat to stay warm and finish off the outfit.

Our team is very excited that the workwear trend appears to be here to stay. These Madewell pants have a wide leg, which works really well with the high top Blazer. Cuff them so your socks are just barely showing.

Shoe Challenge #3: Nike Killshot 2

The Killshot 2s really hit the mark for combining classic with sporty / casual style. They’re minimally designed enough to make them a great choice for a range of occasions, from casual hangouts to a more dressed-up vibe.
They’re comfortable to wear every day, and they’re cool enough without being too cool. As in, they’ll never go out of style, so you can count on being able to wear these for years. Killshots are the kind of versatile, low-fuss shoes that effortlessly blend into your wardrobe, giving your style an easy boost.
Effortless Gent’s Outfit
We’re leaning a bit lumberjack rugged with this outfit. The washed denim, thermal long sleeve, and flannel overshirt feels woodsy and warm. When you toss the Nike Killshots into the mix, coupled with the donegal wool bomber, you’re right at home hanging at the cabin (or your local coffee shop with a friend).
