My experience returning back to College was very difficult. Eastfield College made the transition to academia very life changing. I had not been a student since 1980s so it was challenging none the less. Eastfield offered assistance through every process of acclamation. I was able to contact personnel through phone, online or face to face interactions. The only critique I would have would be the financial assistance process. There can be a bit more transparency there. I was able to attend Eastfield until my graduation in May 2021 with an AAS degree. I would definitely recommend this institution. In comparison, it was a very economical and rewarding decision.

When I was there, the only complaint I had was the outdated appearance and navigation of the Dallas College website. Other than that, I had a pleasant time as a student there. I worked a part time job nearby while I attended classes. I usually alternated the days between the classes and work shifts. The professors themselves were always prepared to instruct the students. The difficulties I had in the classroom was sometimes foreign accents some very few professors would have that made it difficult to learn. That aside, the coursework felt like just high school level, as if you were just in grade 13 and 14 (assuming you finished in exactly two years).

I liked the simplicity of the layout of my online classes.Everything was fairly easy and straightforward to navigate. Professors were pretty nice, except for one. I messaged her about an inconvenience and her response was slightly rude. Besides that, online 8-week classes were a 8/10 rating for me, because of the heavy workload but plenty of time to complete everything and manage my time.
